Honoring excellence in the field of animation, the 44th Annual Annie Awards will be presented in 36 categories including animated feature, animated feature-independent, broadcast production(s), broadcast commercial, short subject, and student film, as well as the achievement and honorary award. The Awards are presented by ASIFA-Hollywood and will take place Saturday, February 4th at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles. Entries may be submitted through the awards online portal. Here are instructions on submitting and additional info on the rules. The deadline is October 31 by 5 pm Pacific time.

The VES Awards is a global professional honorary society and the entertainment industry’s only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects including artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio executives, and more. There are over 3,300 members in more than 30 countries worldwide that contribute to film, television, commercials, animation and music videos. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the VES has member sections in AU, Bay Area(CA), London, LA, Montreal, New York, New Zealand, Toronto and Vancouver. The VES Awards are scheduled to take place Tuesday, February 7,2017 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. There are 24 different categories for visual effects and animation. Entries may be submitted via the VES website.
Submissions will be open on October 10 and the deadline is November 30.
