I never really got into the Animal Crossing series, but with many memes on Twitter, and friends discussing how important turnips can be and the strategies involved in selling them, it got me intrigued. From tutorials online on how to make millions selling turnips and just talking with friends, this cute video game can be played by all. Except maybe for a Nintendo Character named Tom Nook.

Doom Eternal

Bethesda certainly outdid themselves this year. Prepare to Raze Hell in Doom Eternal and prepare to destroy some demons in the process. If you enjoy playing previous games in this series, then this game is for you!

From the creators of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway. If you enjoy customization from painting, building, and animating, this video game has a lot to offer. Become the player of your own creation and set forth on a long journey ahead.

Final Fantasy VII has been a long time coming. The graphics to this reboot are breathtaking and many Final Fantasy fans have been ecstatic.

The remake is a masterpiece in my opinion, so far, and it gives old and new RPG fans a new experience when playing this game for the first time.

If you enjoy visual novels, puzzles, and an interesting storyline, then this video game developed by Mediatonic might be for you. If you like the Ace Attorney series, players can expect a lot of similarities.

This game follows a TV actress-turned-detective and her robot companion involved in solving several murder cases.

Nioh 2

A world of war and demons, explore this visually stunning game on the Playstation 4. Players can create their own characters and equip them with a variety of weapons. This game has received mostly positive reviews if you are up to the challenge.

Developed by Moon Studios, the story takes place immediately after the events of Blind Forest. This game has received universal praise from the game’s visuals, combat style, and environments. The music is amazing and I would not be surprised if it’s on the top list for the best video game of the year.

Paper Mario: The Origami King

As a kid, I remember playing the original Paper Mario on the N64. I heard about the launch of this new game and immediately tried to pre-order it. Even though I had high expectations for this game, the overall storyline was mediocre. The graphics/animation that went into this exceeded my expectations and you can tell the animation team went on a roll into getting this developed.

The Last of Us Part II

Platforms: Playstation 4
Set five years after the Last of Us, which was distributed in 2013, players must continue to navigate through the post-apocalyptic United States. The Last of Us Part II is labeled as one of the best-selling Playstation 4 (PS4) video games and the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive. Even though there were some major setbacks from the release date to leaks of the video game before distribution, if you enjoyed the previous video game, then expect to enjoy this one as well.
