2018 Oscars Best Animated Films Submitted

This year there are 26 new features to consider for a best-animated feature film.  Oscar nominations will be announced on Jan. 23, ahead of the 90th Academy Awards telecast on March 4. I was a little surprised with this year’s nominees from My Little Pony the Movie and Leap! missing from the list. I was happy to see Loving Vincent, The Girl Without Hands, The Breadwinner and Silent Voice to make the nominee list.

My Predictions for this Year
1. Coco
2. Loving Vincent
3. The BreadWinner
4. Window Horses
5.  The Girl Without Hands vs. Despicable Me 3.

I would really like to see, The Girl Without Hands to make the top 5 contenders but with Despicable Me 3 taking the home the record for one of the most successful franchises I think it might walk away with a top 5 nomination because of how the Academy usually votes.

The Big Bad Fox & Other Tales

Birdboy: The Forgotten Children

The Boss Baby

The Breadwinner

Captain Underpants The First Epic Movie

    1. Cars 3 was good and so was Lego Batman Movie. I’m still upset over the first Lego Movie not being nominated for an academy award a few years ago.

    2. It’s a close tie between Window Horses and The BreadWinner I think. Window Horses was beautifully written and the movie is colorful and bright. The BreadWinner has received many acknowledgements as well.
