The Golden Globe Awards, handed out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, have announced that 17 animated features are eligible for consideration this year. Unlike the Oscars, animated features are not eligible to compete in the film and foreign film Golden Globe categories. Nominations will be announced this Thursday. The awards are handed out on January 11, 2015
