The film will be directed by Steve Martino, best known for directing the films Horton Hears a Who!(2008) and Ice Age. The movie was written by Bryan Schulz and Craig Schulz who are also the heirs of Charles M. Schulz’s comic strip the Peanuts.  The movie will be the first feature film based on the characters in 35 years. Peanuts

In 2006, after the death of creator Charles M. Schulz the movie idea was introduced by his son Craig Schulz. The plot is to describe the journey of Charlie Brown and the adventures and conversations he has with his friends. All characters in the Charlie Brown universe will make an appearance and the meaning of the film is that everyday you should have qualities of perseverance and to pick yourself back up with a positive attitude. It took over a year for the animators to overlook Charles Schulz original drawing style and incorporate it into a CGI animation. It also took a lot of time to obtain the right to use Bill Melendez’s voice for Snoopy and Woodstock and the rights to archive music from previous Peanuts specials. Being a Charlie Brown and Peanuts fan I expect this movie to do very well and I hope Blue Sky Studios does this movie justice.
